Andrew P. Mayer
Andrew P. Mayer has spent the last two decades involved with every facet of interactive media; working as a designer, producer, creative director, and consultant. He has brought his unique vision and direction to numerous best-selling titles, turning his insights on gameplay, platform, and player interaction into highly successful projects in a variety of genres, from tabletop to television (and everything in-between). In that time he has worked with companies as Sony, Time Warner, PlayFirst, EA/Bioware, Zynga, 2K Games, Telepictures, and many more.
Using the tools of creativity and vision, he has integrated interactive experiences into major properties including Batman, Scooby-Doo, Diner Dash, Tonka Toys, Reader Rabbit, The Ellen Show, and others. His original concept and design for the wildly successful “Petz” products fueled a boom in digital life forms that has remained a world-wide phenomenon since its creation in the mid-90s.
Andrew currently works as a consultant and trainer, focusing on working with media companies ti create powerful experiences through effectively integrating creativity with of interactive experiences.
He is also the host of the Active Design Podcast: A ongoing interview series with media creators about how they are connecting with their audiences through interactive media.
As an author, Andrew has written a trilogy of Superhero Steampunk Novels in his Society of Steam series for Pyr Books. They are available on Amazon and wherever fine books are sold.
